Good for another year or so. | The birthdate is a good idea. The other thing one can do is put masking tape around the battery and write the date on it. I like to use the batteries I take out of my basses in my tuner and get a lot more out of them. It's not so critical if a battery dies in my tuner since I can tune by ear.

I was seriously considering ordering a Sadowsky sometime next year but at this rate, it might just be a third Nordy for me......I think Carey is making some great stuff and I hope he continues

Both Roger and Carey build great basses but Nordys are ticking all the right boxes for me.

Neck profile is completely different, preamps are completely different, design is somewhat different (especially with the chambering issue... I know Carey has done it but I don't think he typically does). But definitely, both are amazing top of the game instruments. |

Well, the preamps are so different...The Sadowsky has more "over the top treble extension," and "feels more modern.''
The Nordy is much more organic feeling, and truer to a "Fender/passive tone;" and the Nord, feels better in passive mode.
The necks are pretty different feeling; sometimes my hands get moody, and really actively prefer one over the other, even though they're both super playable.
Besides, what else am I gonna do with all that gig money?

I am grateful for the gift of music, the gift of all the friendships i've made in this awesome forum, the gift of Carey Nordstrands amazing talent to make instruments that inspire and allow me to express myself musically.
