Nordy VJ5 Modern...hard case suggestion?

I'm looking for a hard case for my 34.5" scale Nordy VJ-5 Modern

Any recommendations?

I ordered a G&G hardshell (J-bass) case for my Nordy VJ5 Classic (34" scale). The bass fits perfectly and there is easily an extra half inch of space available from the tip of the headstock to the edge of the case, so yours should fit as well.

I ordered a custom "tweed" exterior and a custom interior. They have numerous combinations. It took about two weeks from the time I placed the order to the day I received it. If you can wait until tomorrow, I'll take a pic so you can see the available space, etc.

I had a few minutes, so here you go...

After measuring it at the headstock end, there is more than a quarter inch, but less than a half inch. The pad that the headstock abuts will compress a bit, as will the pad at the other end of the case. Maybe they could trim the pads a bit at each end?

Is there a standard model or is it a custom order?

See edit re: dimensions. You can see in the second and third pics there is a bit of space at the bridge end of the bass. When I took the closeup of the headstock with the ruler, I made sure the bridge end of the bass was flush against that pad. The pad at the headstock will compress a bit also. You can select different exterior and interior options on their website...

I ordered this case in 2010. IIRC correctly, it was around $200. They didn't have the PayPal option at that time, so I called and spoke with someone and snail-mailed them a paper check. The case arrived two weeks later. I'm really happy with it!

It's their standard J-bass case.

For those interested, that's the "green poodle" interior...

Cool bass and case Kevin. You might also consider a well made gig bag. Just as much $ bit much easier to lug around. I never use a hardcase and gig borderline full time

Hey Rob, how's everything going?

I like to have a hardshell for day-to-day storage. I usually use my Sadowsky Portabag for gigs-so convenient!
