Odd Ebay Bass/ EB1 look-a-like?

Ran across this odd bass on EBay. Anybody familiar with what this is?
Is it hollow body or solid?

It has a scroll headstock like an upright.

Looks ALOT like a Gibson EB1 doesn't it?

Any idea how much you think it should go for?

By the way.

Do you think it sounds like a Hofner, with that type of pickup arrangement?

Well, on the body is written Aria, so there you go.

There was one for sale here: Aria/Apollo Violin Bass for sale ! (back than 350 $)

These were a MIJ Matsumoku offering, under various names. The one I am most familiar with is Apollo. In case you don't know, Matsumoku are considered good quality instruments from the 80's mostly. The more common better known brands were Electra and Westone.
