"Official" Carvin Club

Icon Basser started a Carvin Club thread a while back, but he didn't give out official numbers. Well, I want numbers, AND I want to be number 1, so I'm starting the "official" Carvin club. Post to join, and I'll issue numbers.

EDIT 6/9/08: It has come to my attention that there was a Carvin club in the amps forum a while back. This new club will be for both amp and bass owners, that way we won't leave anyone out. If you were in the amp club, you can apply to get a new number, or just keep your old amp club number. Amp club members are listed later in this thread. Sorry for the confusion.

Here are my Carvins:

LB70 flamed koa, J-99 pickups.

LB70 All koa body and neck, H50N pickups.

AC40 in Vintage Yellow.

I thought I was #23, but I'll do it again.
Here's my 2007 LB75AP Anniversary.

I don't want to duplicate if someone has done this before, but I have never seen anyone giving out numbers or an "official" club here. I thought I read every Carvin thread in the last few years, too.

What the heck...I'll join!

Put me down as a member of the "Official Carvin Club"...not that it matters - you don't read a lot of stuff about Carvins here...probably because those of us who have 'em have a different mindset than many Talkbass members AND we would rather be playing than typing!

I never really had an inclination to join any "Talkbass Clubs" but I figured, "What the hell?"

Tobacco Sunburst LB75 (sorry, I don't have any decent pics of it by itself, so here I am playing it at a gig this past fall)

My Icon 5w should be completed on July 16th. I'm counting down the days.

I have an LB75 with a mahogany body and neck, gloss finish, sunset burst edges, and icon soapbar pickups. It's a pretty neat bass. I'll get around to taking a picture and posting it here one of these days.

Okay, so this will be the Carvin Bass Club as opposed to the amp club.

Thanks for clearing things up.

Cool B5

I always wanted to play a Carvin Bass. I found one used in a music store and liked it so much I bought it. Hard for me to believe this is the cheapest 5 string they sell. No thirlls, J- style pick ups.
It is my favorite of all time.
It is a 90's model according to the catalogs I have compared it to.
I will post a pic soon.

What do you all think about the 35-1/4" scale? I am thinking about a XB75 or an ICON with extended neck length.

"He died for me, I'll live for Him"
Jesus - the real fire insurance!

By the way, I would like a number in this forum. Please.

I play an XB75PF...IT IS N I C E ! ! The asymetrical neck makes it a DREAM to play...I would put it up against other makes for the money,it's well made and sounds REALLY nice. Also, youre Skipping the "middle-man" for a made in the USA work of art. I truly love mine. Ia lso play a "Plain Jane" B4 that I really like.(Wish I was set up to post pictures, but I'm not....Count me in your club.

...So I guess I wouldn't apply if I had no Carvin basses but did have practically an exclusively Carvin rig (Carvin head, carvin cab, carvin effects processor)?
