That is close to 200 bucks worth of pickups and EQ parts.
( IMO )
I would get a 3 band EQ out of a CMG,JS3,CBX, or similar..
The 3b has 3 pots and a switch which would fill all the holes and give him a midrange control to cover the scooped sound of the 2 band, which would cost less than 100 for the parts. ( or another 3 band EQ )
However.....I would start out with the 5dollar experiment...throw that stupid pickup switch in the garbage and put a blend knob in it's place..turning on both pickups equally with a switch ALWAYS makes them both cancel each other out slightly. Same with a VVT setup with both vols up full
hey melon, since you have not posted a pic of this thing, does yours have pickups with exposed poles like my old purple 3b?

Same color As yours amimbari, not exposed poles. Pu covers with Jackson written on them.

Do you like EMG P/J's or the stock Jackson P/J's better?

They come up occasionally on eBay, but the last one I saw went for $50 + $25 ship, so at that price I'd rather just go with a new one. Does anyone know which aftermarket cases will fit? Or will a modern Jackson case work? Thx,

Back in the day, Rex Brown of Pantera had an endorsement deal with Jackson/Charvel, which lasted until Far Beyond Driven (1994). While I know for sure that's a 3B in the picture, what kind of paint job is that? It looks like firecrackle but in this awesome blue
....identify this at once!

he also played a 1989 Charvel XL850 > http://themetalden.com/?p=11722 |

p.s. I am only assuming that black bass in the link is a 850xl. I make that assumption based on it was the only beveled body neckthru and it must have been used before he got that blue crackle. |

I have another preamp that will eventually go into it and it will get sold, first here in the TB classifieds and if no bites on ebay. It is not in bad shape, a few nicks and such, but the neck and frets are perfect. |

Do all the Eliminators have that "trough" running up the body. It has been a while since I saw one up close, and don't remember that.
