Alrighty guys. got a question and need honest opinions. what is the deal with the chris beattie model. ok its a C20 i know but does it really play that good? i know what emg hz sound like and i love emg pups. i have never played a C20andnotto crazy about the body shape but i can deal. just dont know if its worth the price they are asking for and is this model soon to be history?

I consider it like a Elefson p-bass. a standard model with an oversized price.
The Bettie C-20 is just that. A c-20 with a preamp and different pickups.

I never played one, but I don't think the "new" price is worth it. I would look for a used one if that is what you want.

I love my Ellefson JS3V. I didn't mind giving Dave $50 for a different truss rod cover. The neck is very easy to play.

Last thing I saw on him was that he was selling that Kelly bass that had belonged to Matt Thorr.

Here's a pic of all of my Charvel 2B basses. I've had the red one since the early 1990's and picked up the rest within the last 2 or 3 years. I just picked up the blue one from Guitar Center for about $175

If anyone could help date these via serial number, it would be much appreciated.

Red, 261xxx
Black, 273xxx
White, 246xxx
Blue, 291xxx

Thanks!

Thanks, thanks and thanks!

There's something about the feel and sound of these basses that I really love.
