| | | | Official Crappy Bassist with Expensive Gear Club Inspired by this thread: Crappy bassists with expensive gears?
Are you mediocre at best, maybe even crappy at the art of being a bassist? Do you have expensive gear, although some may say you are not worthy?
Tell us about it. Sign up and wear your number proudly.
Do you feel guilty? Are you proud? We won't judge you.
Member #1 and founder, yours truly.
I am embarrassed to even try a bass out in front of someone else in a store, but I have an older Spector 5 string and new Warwick and Spector 4's. Hartke amp, all the nicest cables and straps... but I am terrible. Truly terrible, but intend to get good enough to have some fun.

| | | | #3 please. Especially through the holiday season I've spent way more time shopping than practicing.

After watching the Drummer's collective 25th anniversary DVD with Victor Wooten, John Pattitucci, and Tom Kennedy playing with Dave Weckl ( a Christmas gift) ... I realize I suck more than I thought.

Ya mean buying a bunch of expensive gear (instead of practicing) doesn't instantly fix all of those wrong notes???????
But...
But...
But I always thought...
(face in palm of hand.....deep sigh.....dumbfounded expression)
I'm gonna have to re-think this whole bass playing thing. I thought all it took was a thick wallet.

DrStein is #9, although I would need paypal payment for the Golden VIP version. It comes with a new Rickenbacker, but the dues are a bit expensive.
tommygunn breaks us in to the double digit membership at #10
