Luckily people seem to like my playing enough to justify having it all to bring to gigs. The great thing is that it's all about fun!
I do remember hearing through the grapevine back when I was 18 (in 1979) that someone thought my gear was better than me, and at that point I only had a Gibson EB2D, a Fender Showman and some weird home made speaker, so that was a much lower bar.
