Oooh can we see the short scale basses? I'm a big fan of them and am thinking about going for a short scale fender next.

Oh man sign me the f-ck up. This is the first and only club I could honestly join!

GAS'd my way through:

1. Some Ibanez. SOLD.
2. MIM P Bass. SOLD.
3. Peavey T-40. SOLD.
4. Warwick Streamer LX5. SOLD.
5. 2009 MIM P Bass. HEAVILY MODIFIED. HANGING ON BY A THREAD.

Play through an Orange combo amp, or a Hartke 3500 head with fender 4x10 cab. Have chewed through and tinkered with several half completed SX's. Have an Agile Al-2000 for when I feel like pretending I'm a 6 string player too.

Also embarassed to play in stores, though thats getting less frequent. Working on my scales. Jam poorly with a friend on guitar.

I'm confident that someday I will pretend I made a return on investment, and be able to play in a store without getting embarassed

Oh yea… I "belong" in this club. To describe my playing...I would say that I play bass with all the skill and virtuosity of a spastic one armed bongo player. (no offense to any and all spastic, one armed, bongo players). As for gear, I have nice stuff, but I know, all I do is bang on my bass, so I don’t need a Ritter. So what is my number?.

Yeah, I belong in this club, if only for my 3Leaf Groove Regulator and other pedal expenses. I've spent way too much on gear to suck at bass as much as I do.

Would make common sense. I did professionnal recording sessions with a 200$ squier pbass with great results. Did a show with a Peavey combo 300 ( 300$ used?) and had nice comments. A great writer could use a 2 cents pencil with great results too (iMac? Lol).

I had an expensive bass, MM SR 4, and I sucked at it until someone recently stole it

Therefore I am not even qualified for this club...

You are so lucky guys!

But I had a good laugh reading this thread!

this thread kind of depresses me. it's not a good thing if you have 10k worth of gear and can't play
