Thanks, I really dig it, I have been splitting playing time with that one and my MTD 635. Two different beasts, but I am glad I have the singlecut very much, sustain for days and not nearly as bright as the MTD, so I am seeing this bass getting a lot of playing time. This is my first Erick and I am very pleased with the quality of the build.

Anyone familiar with the wenge/wenge necks? I've got the understanding that the 5'vers neck profile is more like a P5 and less like your typical maple necked Elrick 5'vers ... is this a good comparison?

Thanks!

i must keep this bass! edited my pics post to include some info on it that Rob sent.

i think if i get another, it'll be wenge neck hybrid...and something dark for the body/top as well.

yeah i've never seen regular bubinga with such a color change so fast...but i know it's capable of being swirly and curly, etc.

since i'm keeping it, i'm gonna swap to proper hipshot tuners, lol.

Glad to hear you're keeping the Elrick! Great decision ... I'm sure you would have regretted letting it go ... the moment it was all packed up.
(now I can stop wondering if I should give it another shot )

Besides ... it's a sad day when we lose a member.

a for HaPpYfAcE!

The Elrick Platinum E-Volution pictured in post #39 is for sale in the classifieds section for anyone who is interested in getting her. Sound is great, but the singlecut didn't really work for me, and the six strings neck is a bit much for me after having major surgery to my left wrist, gonna stick with the 4's as they are much easier on my wrist to play. Thanks again TB community!
