I would say mine is about like your's. It seems that the bottom bout is a bit more rounded than others I've researched, as well.

I guess that's what happens when you get handcrafted basses ... eventhough they are a part of a design line ... you get happy little inconsistencies that make each so special.

I'd have to say ... I'm rather taken with Elricks, overall.

Never noticed that on yours, Mr. Majestic- maybe he's doing all of the new Classics like that now.

I don't think I would be able to sell it either. It is a very nice bass, those buckeye tuners ought to be interesting. I am really leaning toward Aeros for mine also. The 5 string aeros are the same size as the 6 string barts, so I will have to enlarge the routes to accomidate them. I have also checked into the knobs, but I will most likely build them and the p/u covers myself.

i really like the way it looks with the wooden knobs and pickup covers. i really really like how rob made my covers to match my bass with mahoghany, purpleheart and the buckeye top.

i will post some pics when the tuners come in and i install them. i cant wait!!

now i just have to get a buckeye bridge cover made..

I plan on doing something very similar with mine. I have a good bit of that quilted ash left over and most likely use it for the top and the cap on the knobs. Quilted ash/veneer/wenge, as the combination.

Thanks!

I guess we really do have the same taste in basses.
Don't think I'm gonna get a Khaler anytime soon, though.

(BTW ... Congrats on your latest custom edition! She's the cutest! Hopefully she won't devour any more necks when she gets her teeth )

Your images aren't working, but from your avatar I know it's the one on the Elrick site and the one that was at TheLowEnd- really nice looking (and awesome headstock!).

I was about to post this in the "Show Your Ramps" thread, but I figured I'd post it here first- added a new ramp to each of my Elricks on top of their pickups. I had them made very thin to fit.
