The reason I'm throwing this up here is it's an Arched Bodied one. It's a 33-incher too. Looks killer. http://cgi.ebay.com/ELRICK-EVOLUTION...item3a5810265f |

I've never seen another one with a curved body, and the neck laminates are something I haven't seen since his much older basses. Very cool. |

I talked to a luthier here in town and he said it would need a new fret job as well as the fredboard sanded down because it's developed a hump up by the 12th fret on the treble side of the FB. He also said he hammered down a couple frets since they weren't in there all the way. He told me that the grooves in the zero fret were put there, not from wear. He didn't understand why they were there other than to keep the strings spaced evenly but that's what the nut is for. He also said that the zero fret was of the same material as the other frets and was the same size, which he would probably change when he re-fretted it. | As I mentioned, I think the grooves in the zero fret were indeed put there, with the objective of managing the relief at the first fret (which would probably have been too high w/o them based on the little rise at the end of the FB). Perhaps one of the other multitude of previous owners can shed some light on this. I'll be excited to hear the end result of the new rout... awesome looking top and *super* light, hope it indeed has found it's home. The Valenti absolutely *rocked* at rehearsal last night, and has immediately made the cut for this weekend's gig. |

Man ... that's stunning!
The GAS I'm feeling is not helping me cope with the fact that I'm really a 4-5 string guy.
Oh the humanity! |

Thanks ahead of time. |

I used them when I tested several sets of strings on two Elricks for the Strings forum. The standard headstock is a relatively short reach from the bridge, even with the normal 35" scale. A Fender headstock is a fair bit longer. |

Rang the doorbell twice with no answer ... so I just let myself in.
Nothing around but some giant dust bunnies, and the sound of crickets. |

I had an Elrick with a similar wood/sapwood combo that was wenge, but the dark side looks too light to be wenge. I'm not a big flamed maple fan, but it looks like a pretty one. |
