FINALLY! My Amaze Deluxe 5-string arrived last week!
All I can say is WOW! This is one of the nicest basses I have ever owned. Really nice modern jazz-bass sound and sounds really nice on passive mode too. Also in passive mode it has normal tone control in the treble pot One of the best things in this one is the neck. It has really nice "buttery smooth" silk finish and its thinner than Fenders or Sadowskys i've tried!
I'll try to do some sound clips when I have the time. Cant wait for next weekend to play two party gigs with this one!

Heres my ESP family:
Vintage 5 (w. Seymour Duncan dual coils)
Amaze Deluxe 5
Vintage 4 (w. modded white pickup covers)

I haven't contributed for a while.

This is what I've done to my ESP LTD B-105:
-- Ken Smith Compressors, pressure wound strings.
-- 500k pots. They work to open it up, but useable range is limited to the last ~20% of the rotation. I'll have to check to see whether I used linear or logarithmic -- then buy some of the other kind.
-- Series/parallel switch. Pull/push under the volume pot. Whole new voicing to the instrument. I prefer the "normal" parallel, but it's good to have around.
-- Tone bypass switch. Had to drill a new hole for that one. It's hardly necessary, but I enjoy being able to switch from a voicing that I like back to wide open without losing the setting.

PICKUP : (Neck) Seymour Duncan SJB-1n
(Bridge) Seymour Duncan SJB-2b

Those are the stocked ones, haven't changed them. It's a rather deep-midranged tone, not a lot of highs. Even with the active electronics on board, the heavy rock sound is there all the time, which is not suitable for every occasion. Also it's tuned to B-E-A-D or if i want to do a cover of the band the Gazette it's B-D-G-C . As I said it's a signature bass, so why not cover songs from the band the bass originally comes from

My ESP B-206SM and TE Rig

Hey

I'm already a member of the club - just posting a pic of my FABULOUS ESP B-206SM, Trace Elliot AH500X, TE 1048 and 1528 cabs. My Boss ME-50B and Korg Pitchblack tuner are just out of sight. I'm saving for an ESP B-1006 for my main bass and keeping this one as my practice guitar.

That 30.9 Hz Low B moves fault lines... yeeeeaaaaahhhhhh

I put an old ESP Jazz neck on my Fender Precision. It's such a great neck, too; I just love it.

Guys, club needs to take a decision, do we allow members that have a hybrid bass using ESP parts, like danomite64? Take a call, drop a line, a month from now I'll notify the club's verdict accordingly.

Also, if you have a number, flaunt it! Hopefully that'll motivate more people to join the club. We should at least outnumber the Fodera and Ritter clubs!

Ok I'll bite.

My first and only ESP (prior to LTD's showing up on the scene) was actually a guitar. Currently I have an LTD TA-600 4 string bass. I picked this up in a trade with a neighbor of mine that was interested in getting into 6-strings. I had this old Ibanez SR506 that I wasn't using since I had upgraded to my Carvin, and he wasn't playing his LTD since he'd picked he'd picked up a Warwick Corvette a few years back. So we swapped our "closet queens". I think I've only played it a few times to be honest.

Close up of the LTD TA-600

...and here she is with her siblings: LTD TA-600, Ibanez Ashula, Carvin LB76, and a Squier P-Bass Special
