Any ESP people give me a quick review on the ESP B-335? I was considering it as a backup. Reviews are VERY hard to find, even on dealer sites.

Screw it, I bought it

HelloMusic ESP 335 for $273 shipped RED

Use code TWEET20 for $20 off & it was $18 shipping

I got one as a backup beater bass

Elsewhere is $525 with no places lower I could find

Heres a clip of the 4 string that sold me on it

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rpGdMfhmYI

Worst comes to worse you put this on Craigslist if you dont like it & break even, maybe even profit selling it for $300 in NEW condition right?

New bass day - ESP LTD B-336SR

Hey fellow ESPr's!!!

I picked up this ESP LTD B-336SR off of the bay today and am anxiously awaiting delivery.

Some of you may know about it - it's a B-336SR that was prototyped and showed at NAMM sometime back but, unlike the B-334 and B-335, never made it into production, so the B-336SR remains a manufacturer's sample.

It's gorgeous, has EMG's (not sure the model - maybe someone her knows; I also don't know the specs on the preamp). Still, I can't wait to get it setup, strung with some DR Highbeams, straplocks and plugged into my Trace rig! This will be my main bass, my B206-SM will be my backup/practice guitar.

BTW, I posted something like this under the general "Basses" section, but I thought some of my fellow ESP enthusiasts might miss it there.

Ain't she sweet?

I just got the 335 version of this yesterday
Its alright, I dunno how to describe why its average or below average... but hey it was $275 so I cant expect miracles.
Its an alright bass... needs a set up BADLY out of the box.
The 3 band EQ really helps. Its tonally versatile.
In the mix at a crappy bar... it will certainly cut the mustard.

I was saddened to hear that ESP has ditched their Japanese ESPs. I really liked the Phoenix II bass.

I can only surmise that sales were flat - but I'd also surmise that 99% of bassists didn't even know the instrument existed.

I'd take ESP quality over Gibson history every time.

I think you can still get Standard Series ESP models 'till end of this year. They still will have their Original Series and Custom Shop ones made in Japan. Also LTD-Elite models will be made in the same factory as they made the Standard Series. Hope they will relase more models next year!

Disappointed that ESP have not released any new 6 string basses among their new line ups revealed at NAMM. I can't help but think that among all the cool new 5 stringers there couldn't have been at least ONE new 6 string bass.

ESP's LTD series 6 string bases are awesome... I wish they had some new offerings in extended range basses!

I'd love to see a fretless 6!

I have considered buying another B-206SM and having it defretted just because I can't buy an ESP 6 string fretless! PITA!

I don't blame ESP for pulling the standard line. I believe it's a prestige (pun intended) issue for the Japanese company. Too little respect for their instruments, as far as I can see.

Thats true. Of what I've heard they want the ESP-logo to be only
in the really high-end basses. ESP logo will only be in original and custom shop series after this year.

Sign me up for my first club. Hit the lottery when I found this TA-200 used in a music store for only $125. Absolutely my number one bass.
