I'm saving up for a replacement bridge with through body, but four saddles for more accurate intonation. Original Fender but a bit costly thing - well, to me that is.
Also, but there is less need for that, I'd like a BassXtender on it. And purely for cosmetic reasons: Lollipop tuners.

OOPS! Almost forgot! I'm going to turn the burst body into a black one!

Can I have a number please?
brb, cutting my Sting pickguard. That looks awesome.

Thanks IPA!

What does 'brb' mean?

This is a photoshop fake of what the bass is going to look like.
Only probable addition not shown is the lollipop tuners and Xtender.

Nice! BRB = be right back, as in going to the garage with an x-acto and some sandpaper

Here's mine, a 1993 Nitro finished MIJ RE 57 (it was top of the line at the time, 95.000 yen list price):

I have never seen an MIJ with those "vintage tuners". That's nice. Is that the original pickguard?

That's the first one I see like that as well.
It also has a different pickup from other MIJ Reissues and a 2 piece body.
Pickguard is original: http://brochures.yokochou.com/guitar...993/en_08.html

I see a pattern there. Found the neck that is for you, huh?

I've noticed that with some other p-bass players, too (myself included). It's like we gravitate towards certain specific features. For me it is the tele bass pickguard. I have three P's ATM, a 2011 60th Ann, a 54 P copy (SCPB), and my mutt modern style (regular P pickguard, doesn't count!).

Nice collection!

Dig a maple fingerboard, do you? Me too!
Does the green PJ bass have a jazz-like neck?

Yes I definitely prefer maple fingerboards and the necks on the Classic 50's are wonderful.

The P/J seafoam green precision definitely has a jazz neck, I am told it is the same neck as the Geddy Lee Model, but I cannot confirm this. I will say, it plays very nice and it feels just like the geddy lee models I have played. So maybe??

I have recently purchased a Brooklyn Jazz with the most amazing neck I have ever played ( maple fingerboard also). Never thought I would like a neck better than my Roscoe, but I found one.

With that said, I will be selling both my MIM Fender Precision Classic 50's show in picture if interested. The Honey BLonde is already listed on this site. No Mods made at all. The black model which I have not listed yet, has a new badassII bridge and some flats..Killer.

As Rip Topaz mentioned, we definitely gravitate to certain specific features. Like anything in life, when something makes you feel comfortable it always keeps you coming back for more.

Totally. After over 30 years, I've found that the Modern C is the PERFECT shape for my hands.

the precision seafoam green, is the same bass as the dx special with a thin jazz neck, but in this special run limited color and maple neck.
i don't know if is the same as the geddy, the geddy is japan made and the dx mex made.
still, i read somewhere that now the geddy is mex made.
what i do know is that the neck feels the same as my squier cv jazz thin neck.
maybe optical illusion, but i think the binding "gives" a beefer feeling.
i'm not a member yet, i love this club and still waiting for #1072.. i'm close.
sorry for my english.
