Oh man, please tell me you aren't from Maine and that wasn't the 77' at Musicians hub. My gut tells me it is though :c

If thats the case though, you got one hell of a bass.

Indeed it is! I had been watching it too, and the price was certainly right. I went down to play it one day and decided it had to go home with me.

Have you noticed the price increase on the AVRI P's? Looks like Fender changed the names ('57 to '58, '62 to '63), install the pup and bridge covers at the factory, stopped tinting the necks, and added $550.00 to the street price.

I would have to look up, if I posted in here before, but since I just found a pic of my three guys (sold all other basses) in one place (seldom happens), I thought...why not post this?

I put an ebony tug bar that I never used on the 62ri P that I sold if it makes you feel any better.

so, can another P-bassman get a number?

I'm new to this thread, might u be so kind as to give me a number?
I currently have 2 MIM P basses.
An older one (not sure of year, but will get around to checking online via serial #) with pickup and bridge from my 1973 P bass (which I desperately wish I still had) & a Duncan Quarterpounder J pickup in bridge position
and a 2012 Deluxe which I got a few months ago.

Pic of them at link below:
