My '77, had since early '78; got me through college punk bands, then sat in a case for nearly 30 years, but has been put back in action. Currently strung with TI flats- very classic sound!

I've only got a pic of my American Standard handy. It's black & maple, with a BWB guard, and a DiMarzio Model P.

Here's the first one of mine that showed up when I opened Photobucket. I've got a few others, but this and my SCPB get the most play.

Just a few pics of my '78 to help open the new thread. Already have a number.

Still one of my all-time favorites. Very nic.

Played in various band in the seventies, ending with a 2-year stint with a 9-member funk band. We KILLED. Disco was hot.

Anyway, I stopped playing bass for thirty years, the bass is a distant memory. Fast forward to today, when I've decided to play again. Bought this American 2004 a week ago and........

.....it feels like I am "home." This might as well be the SAME bass I played. Thin (not narrow) neck, almost similar to Ibanez. The quality is plain to see. I am $&%*$@# in love with this bass. The neck dives a bit, as it is WAY heavier wood than the body. It feels like an old girlfriend.

I guess the pictures didn't show up.

Did I ever mention that natural/black/maple is my fave look for a P? As in, bar none?

On the foto flame one in surf green, how did you get the foto flame off?
I have a 17 year old Jazz in foto flame that is cracking like crazy
