One thing I vow is to NEVER be without a proper Precision for the rest of my days. I have had to endure months of mid-scooped clank in Geddy land. After that, foraging for tone in the heavy, barren maple forest kingdom of the Squier VM Jazz 5....never again! Full report and pics upon arrival!

Halfway done
Though I get distracted by 4 basses, can you blame a man?

| | | Here is the Fender Precision '57 Reissue I received as a gift from my wife back in 1999.
It was sold as a white blond (01) model, but as you can see it looks more banana in color than white blond. It's only been out of the case a couple of times in all these years so it's doubtful the elements have 'yellowed' the color. I think GC was selling 'one-off' and my wife didn't know any better. Plays and sounds great though (the few times I have played it).
The pick guard doesn't look as gold as the typical gold anodized aluminum (GAA) pick guard either. On the banan-ish body it looks kind of copper-ish. |

Why on earth don't you play it more?
What an amazing wife to buy you a gift like that! |

| | | | I like it a lot. I had to order it through GC . I was going to get the standard but one of my guitar players suggested this one cause of the pickups. It was perfect out of the box. Intonation was right on. I changed strings and am regretting it. Shoulda put on some dean markleys instead of power slinkys. |
