I dont own one but....

Have been to the site. Best sound clips I have heard on a bass site. So good I actually downloaded a bunch of them and listen to them.
I love the sound of their basses.

I have two consats so I need to post a pic of the girls. Im dying to try a Votan but have not seen one in the states yet

I think their selectable preamp is the best preamp on the market! Gritty rock tone, check, high-fi jazz, no problem!

I have the programable eq on mine and I love it. Marleaux have such unbelievable tones to them. I can't wait to get another one.

I tried a Consat fretless several years ago and while it was a really nice bass, it wasn't 100% what I was after, and at the asking price it needed to be.

However if I came across one of their Pagelli-licensed designs, I'd been much more tempted!

Hi everybody

Hi everybody !
I play Marleaux since Gerald and Tillmann started making them(1990), and I stil didn't switch cause I couldn't find anything better. Over the years I'v owned and played over 25 Marleaux basses(wholesale/endorsement deal with Gerald). Have been in workshop couple of times and was watching them making basses.
Currently i have 2 pieces. Photos are on myspace. Hope to have some interesting chats with you guys

don't have them any longer, but at one point in time, i had these 2 bad boys in my possession.

i've had the pleasure of playing at least 2 dozen different Marleaux basses (between a job at custom bass shop and attending a musik messe). You really can't say enough good things about the craftsmanship of these instruments.

Hi Everybody!!! I would like to present my fantastic Consat Custom and join the club!
I really wanted a "custom" marleaux, so I wanted nor the usual exotic wood, I prefered a"snow white" high gloss !

Now that is the sweetest Marleaux that I've ever seen and I am extremely jealous. It's just so understated!

Basically, I don't like 'coffee table' basses (sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone here with that phrase - it's just such an easy way to describe exotic woods/gold hardware type basses ) and I can only manage with 4 strings, so a painted Marleaux would be my choice. White with black hardware is such a cool combination, too .

Like several others here, I've never played a Marleaux, but I do have a promo CD with sound clips of all of the models on. The tone of the Consat is really something to behold - beautiful!

There are so many basses out there, which I would like to own one day. A Marleaux Consat is definitely in the Top 10 .

I always wanted a Consat because of the body, and could never afford one

seeing that white one made me drag out this pic:

does this thing count as a 1/32 of a Consat?
