Really nice!

Looks a bit like mine, but without the wenge!

Bet it sounds killer.

Another beauty! That is a really special maple top, and it goes so well with that rosewood board. Very, very nice!

I love maple burl and that's a great piece you have there! It took me a minute to figure out what was throwing me off with the bass visually - it's the position markers! Not a very common sight on MTDs.

Nice MTD Tbone! Just in time for the Holidays, awesome...congrats & enjoy!
OT - completely enjoying the 534. Thanks again for all the "congrats"... I was actually petrified the B string would be floppy, muddy, un-articulate (if that's even a word LOL) on a 34" because the 35" was just flat out insane but should have never doubted Mr. T's work... This thang is earthshaking... Happy Holidays my MTDers!

Hmm - is this thread going to make it to part 8 before the new year? Almost there...

Very classy looking! I love the continuity between the top and the fretboard.

I sure do miss my 535 - Avodire body, flamed redwood top, wenge/wenge neck. GREAT bass!

Of all the 5-strings I've ever owned. I still gas for a MTD535, I stupidly sold a few years ago.
It had an Alder body, "Clamshell" maple top. rosewood fingerboard.
The only 5-string i completely felt at home with.
Due to a left hand injury, i no longer play 35" scale basses.
But a custom 534 is in my future ?
USA MTD's are the bomb.

You are one helluva lucky man. Beautiful bass, and great wife!

I'd also like to know the rest of the specs!

So after I set up my bass per Mike's instructions from his website I noticed my neck was a little off. Is this something I should be concerned about?

By "a little off" are you referring to the angle of the neck being kicked back a little? If so, it's not a problem.

Yeah, mine's the same way. I think that's just the way he makes them and cuts the neck pocket. Not an issue at all. In fact, I've seen much more significant angles on basses that have had their necks shimmed to lower action, which is also not a problem at all.
