2008 Fender Jaguar Bass w/ Badass II Bridge (Sunburst)
2012 Fender Custom Shop '64 Jazz Bass NOS Finish (Seafoam Green)
All of these basses feel and play great. My favorite by far is the custom shop, plays like a dream! |

| | | | I have a Fender American Standard jazz... maple fretboard, sunburst with black pickguard. A Squier Classic Vibe 60's Precision Bass, sonic blue w pearl pickguard, rosewood. And an active musicman stingray 4, red w matching headstock, rosewood. |

I put a tort pickguard on mine, and I had to take a lot of material off to make it fit between the neck pocket and the control plate.
BTW, the smell that came from the cutting of the tortoise shell did NOT smell like anything I should be inhaling. |

I'm still tweaking the thickness, but for the most part it seems to give the exact effect I was looking for. There's definitely a difference and more of a "thunk" on the attack, but not quite as dead as some denser materials I've tried.

| | | | My new Fender American Standard Jazz, Jade Pearl Metallic Not a great picture. This color is nice. Mint pickguard on it works well with the paint. My first post! Hopefully I did it right! |

| | | | Thanks. It does look great. Love that first sniff as you open the case. I've been waiting for a green standard Fender color to come along again. It is very nice. Sort of pewter/bronze green. Not Leprechaun colored. |

Mark Hoppus is not on my long list of favorite bass players (sorry Hoppus fans), but he has a cool looking bass, which looks even better now with the mods.
