That's one thing that grabbed me from the moment I saw my first Tobias, my brother's '85; They're as much works of art as instruments. There's just something about that one in particular that I really, really like. I prefer the look of the older Tobias basses to most of Mike's (and Gibson's) other creations. The simplicity has an elegance that the Psychedelic Spalted Burl Ives Whomping Willow topped instruments don't have. Not that they don't look good in their own way, and I'm sure sound and play great. These are the easiest ways to spot a Musicyo Korean made Tobias. |
