It took about twenty minutes and is a worthwhile addition. I'm waiting for some new strings to hit the door so I can really tell how it really sounds. |

G Bass
G-V
Cirrus 5
Cirrus 6
I even compared back to back the Cirrus 5 with Mill pre to the Cirrus 6 with stock pre, before I upgraded the 6.
I thought the upgrade was an improvement in every case. And when you figure it costs about $75 for the preamp and a complete set of new knobs (so you have the stacking mid knob and matching knobs for the other controls), it's a no-brainer (to me).

They are still shipping the upper knob without the screw and I could not find the right size for it? It's an oddball because I think I have every set screw size known to man but not that one.
I called Peavey about this and their tech guy said he would find one and ship it to me, I called back in a couple of days and he said he tried every knob set screw @ Peavey and could not find one!
He said he had a knob and set screw he was sending me that would match it and they are just standard size shafts (concentric) and that I could get them from All Parts also.
Here are the knobs that were on the bass when I bought it; |

That bass looks sweet, but, assuming it also has gold tuners, I think I would have to change all the knobs to gold.

That labeled wiring picture that I posted is accurate (don't remember where I stole it), so just pull all the wires and soldier in the new board, I always recommend taking a picture of the old board wire locations first. |

My dept. assures me that direct patient care positions are safe and that's what I do, but I trust 'em about as far as I can throw 'em!
Thinking of selling one or two just in case. |
