Trust me, someone else would've told you the exact same thing. Don't shoot the messenger....

It does not mean you have to live in the US - It means you have to own a US made Cirrus, just to be clear, folks !!!
Didn't know that the bxp wasn't a us bass, sorry.

Shouldn't that be the Citrus and the Rind?

I owned a black BXP.... Admittedly it was a Millennium, it had the same VFL pups as the Cirrus but a much weaker, cheaper preamp

Ok, so I looked it up and it appears that my cirrus is in fact a chinese bass. You wouldn't know it from the build quality though. It's by far the best built out of all of my basses, which includes a fender deluxe jazz v.

I've had a couple of them, they are good for the money for sure.

Hey guys, just thought I'd stop by and post a link to the clips that I recently added to our website. I played my Peavey USA cirrus 5-ers on all the clips except "See The Light" (I played my Skjold PSD '92 on that one). I used 4 different USA Cirrus 5-ers on the album...two of which are now in the hands of other club members on this forum.

I do love the USA Cirrus'!

You can hear them here: http://www.myspace.com/heddatheband

Or on our Official site (Great artwork BTW): http://heddatheband.com/HEDDA-music.html

I had a show last night and I never get tired of the way a Cirrus sits *and* cuts through the mix in live situations. Everything about this bass is perfect. You guys & gals here already know this, but I still get excited every show ! The Cirrus always delivers !!!Just had to check in and say ...

Last year I picked this Cirrus up from the local L&M for $550 with hard case. Fantastic condition, one minor chip on the back of the neck. Always figured it was a US based on vague research many months ago. But after seeing a 4 string Cirrus at the same store in worse condition than mine with a price tag of $900+, I've been curious about its origins.
I figure this is the best place to ask such a question. Here are some pics of it.

I love this thing. It's the best bass I've owned so far, regardless of where it was made. Sorry for the less than great pics.

Looks legit to me, and it was an excellent buy. Hard to understand what they were thinking, unless they had it for a long time?

It was the first time I had seen it, and I go in there weekly. They couldn't give me an exact location where it was made, so we both assumed US.

Long and McQuade, Canadas equivalent to Guitar Center, except with less pointy guitars and basses that are good for metal.

No, I played at Spanky's in Cotati. So, that makes TWO Cirrus players on Saturday night that sounded killer !

On another note, (pun intended ! Get it ? Two Cirrus players, each playing different ...) I put back the stock knobs on my Cirrus. I really like the feel of them, and believe it or not, it cuts the overall weight making it easier to play for hours on end (it seems to, or it's just in my head)

at Mediumhero -

That is a RARE USA made claro walnut top with matching headstock. The lack of carbon fiber graphite on the headstock makes it rare. There were only about 5% of them like that. I used to own a 4 banger and traded it for an Alembic to another happy TB'er years ago.

That bass is sick and legit !
