First one here!
Notice the different body shape, the Wenge (on the right) is from 1998, the Koa is from 2006.

Interesting! I never knew they made them with different body shapes. The '98 looks a lot closer to a Mill body shape.

It morphed slightly after the Sarzo endorse dement became more important

I can't really tell the difference. Is the '06 fatter than the '98 ? I bet it has "better" tone due to the increased mass.

That's correct, it's a little wider, bridge is closer to the bottom so I guess it's a little shorter. (the body)

The wider I like. I always would've loved to see a Cirrus with fat wings like an old Alembic Spoiler has.

So, does that make it 35" scale still ? To me, the magic of the Cirrus is the 35" scale.

Oh yes, they are probably trying to reel the neck in a little so your left hand reach is not as far,
The only down side to doing that is your right hand plays a little more towards the neck, But I think in this case the body is a little shorter between the bridge and the end of the bass, nothing more...

After a bit of EQing with my Cirrus I can definitely say I've never been happier with it. Hopefully a 6'er will come up if I ever get some money.

Coolest Cirrus ??

After a long, but well worth it wait, my Cirrus is back from master luthier / repair guru Bob Groat of Groat Guitars here in Santa Rosa, CA.

See if you notice the difference -

OK, I'll bite....What does the switch do? Cue the drummers metronome? Override the guitar players overdrive pedal?

I'm in, figured I'd share a pic of my Redwood/Alder 6er. I was thinking, I wish they would have made this with that custom shop Birdseye maple fretboard! Does Peavey still take custom orders?

These pics are before my preamp upgrade, now I have three stacked pots and a mid switch in place. The knobs come from Sadowsky, I love the black aluminum!
