New Hardware - In a black out !

Well, after nearly 14 years of reliable service, two of my tuners gave out within a month of each other, so I decided to go all black and black bridge, too !

For the sake of detail, I used the gold screws on the black bridge to match the gold Dunlop strap locks, and it just looks Good

Also, I put back the original knobs. It seemed to take some weight off and they also feel good.

In addition, I have the pickup slots routed to allow me to swap them out with Millennium MM pickups. As you can see, I have a Milli MM neck pickup and a stock Cirrus bridge pickup.
The resulting sound is PERFECT. It took away some of the "burpy" tone and left the Growl. Now, it has big bottom low end, stable mids and growl, and crispy highs. It still sounds like a Cirrus, but a bit more refined.

Check it out !

GARZ MAG 4 SUPER CIRRUS

Here is my new GARZ MAG 4 SUPER CIRRUS !!
Built to my exact specifications. It is a Cirrus on steroids.
35" scale neck of course, 1.5" wide nut, 24 frets,
same teardrop shape neck as the Cirrus, thinner profile and narrower by nearly .5" at the 24th fret.
Neck thru with one piece figured birdseye maple top, maple neck w/ purple heart stringers, pao ferro fb, alder body
ALL same hardware as on the Cirrus, and BRAND NEW Cirrus USA preamp and pickups.

Look how the top wood fits under the neck. It's a work of art.

The toggle is for the side blue Fiber Optic LED fret markers ...

Mark said the Cirrus pups and preamp are some of the best he's ever used and the preamp specifically reminds him of the onboard Demeter boutique preamps.

Weighs 8.7 lbs and fit into a Road Runner case perfectly.

Looks awesome, Mike!

It's 1/2 and inch narrower at the 24th fret than a regular Cirrus?!?! Actually, I'm surprised the width of the bridge allows that without the E and G strings being just about off the edge of the neck.

I really like how the headstock looks where it joins to the neck. From the side, the headstock looks like solid birdseye all the way through. But then, from the back, it looks totally different. I'd love to see some more details of the volute area to have a better idea of the neck/headstock joint area construction.

Congats again!

I don't know how Mark does it. He is a true artist. You will play the bass SOON, buddy.

I was going to stop by Stu's on the way home yesterday, but I was on no sleep from the night before and on my 8th hour of driving.

I'm sorry, I meant 5mm thinner. It feels great !!

I decided to put the stock knobs on her. I like them better now.

Sorry for the fuzzy photo. Not enough light in the room...

Question for Cirrus owners:
What does this headstock signature mean? This is the second Cirrus I've seen with the signature on the headstock instead of the usual block PEAVEY logo.

I believe that's just a Peavey logo from later years. Earlier years had the other style. No idea what it actually means or is supposed to be, though.

I believe that is the logo for the BXP instruments. They were imported from different countries, Indonesia first, then China and Korea after that. I think, I remember both of my Millennium's had that logo, and they were both imported. I'm probably wrong though, as I am most of the time lol. Just trying to help though.

Or maybe I'm wrong and that's a Peavey Custom Shop logo versus regular Peavey production line. Both my Cirrus had/have the blocky looking letters.

But, I think not. I think that's just a Peavey logo that they changed to from the blocky style.

Nope. That's definitely a MIA Cirrus headstock in the picture.

I have both;
The top one is a 2006 and the bottom is a 1998 issue and I don't know what it means either, however the top is a Custom shop...
