It's probably the same bass and two of us have been ripped off.

Wonder who'll be the lucky one.

So after much research (and headache) as to which strings to get for my incoming fretless, I decided to just go with the Cirrus strings.

All the time, all the effort, all the research, all the question-asking, and I go with the Cirrus...

I find it almost funny.

I just got tired of researching what might be the best string for the bass. I figured a set of Cirrus strings on a Cirrus bass was a good place to start.

I was never too keen on the Cirrus strings on the fretted basses. I really liked them on my fretless.

Yours is fretless isn't it? If I get a bag of pre-cut fret wire we'll know what happened....

The obvious advantage to my bag of fret wire is it doesn't need a full sized case

Any ideas on restoring a peavey cirrus? The wenge top one I purchased seems to be a little beat up. Haven't gotten it yet but looking on a bigger screen at pics it's not excellent as described. Can I sand the bass and just re wax it? That's what I have done on my natural Warwicks and never had a problem. Thanks

I don't need it to be smooth but nicks are different than pores in the wood. I want to make it even as well as bring the natural color of the wood back. We will see when I get it.

Does anybody use wireless on their cirrus? I recently got the line 6 and it made an awful noise when plugged into either cirrus. The signal had horrible distortion. If anybody out there is running wireless, what kind do you use?

I just got a Shure PGXD14 digital. Works fine, not too pricey.

I use a Line 6 Relay G30. Works great with all my basses - unless the bass battery is dying, then it might sound like you (ba$$player) described.

No batteries are good. It was a G50 unit, and it did the same thing with both of my cirrus basses. I'm going to try a different unit and see if I just got a bad unit, but I wanted to see if anyone else has had problems.
