I'm currently looking for a 5 string Thumb. My budget dictates a bolt on.

By mine and have it fretted! Then you'll have bo5 with a snappy ebony fretboard.

I have just received some photos of a 1994 Fortress One which IŽd like to buy (sorry, but I do not know how to upload them) and I have noticed that the fingerboard only has side dots (which is fine) but they are not in the usual places.

The photo is not that detailed, but it seems that there is a dot every 6 or 7 frets, and the last fret (the 24th if I am not wrong) has a single dot, not two.

The rest of the bass seems legit to me.
Can that be a custom model or can I be a fake?

HELP FRIENDS!!!

First Warwick!

Glad I can finally say after 15 years of lusting after a simple 'wick, I've landed a beaut. Almost seems like Guitar Center didn't know what they had, this bass came LOADED and is in gorgeous condition, practically new. Every bass (except my LTD b-206sm) before this has been a distraction. So stoked, count me in!

Very nice! I love active vette's! So aggressive. Someday I'll have an active six string corvette.

After being on the search for a Thumb 5 for a while, I think I found a nice one. Saw this one on eBay and was able to cut a deal with the seller, who is a very nice guy and fairly close by so it won't be shipping far. It's a 1998 Warwick Thumb 5 Bolt On with the most flame I've ever seen on a Thumb in an almost bookmatched pattern with a subdued center section. According to the seller it doesn't have a scratch on it. I should have it by the end of this week or the beginning of the next. Very excited.

Can I join? Just got this yesterday from here. My first Warwick and it's everything I thought it would be including weight. About 12 lbs but it's cool. I'm a big guy. My old Yamaha TRB was heavy. I have the Wenge neck with wenge fretboard. Electronics are Bart pickups and Aguilar pre. All the growl in the world. I almost wet myself last night at church during rehearsal for the Christmas musical. The tone is sexual.

What preamp would you guys recommend in my corvette. I have an Aguilar but just like my last Aguilar preamp, the bass knob is WAY too sensitive. It's get muddy really quick.
