Did anyone ever give out numbers in here? I just went back through a year of posts and it looks like I never got one... did anyone?

The guy that gave out numbers is no longer active. I guess the other members tried to keep up with it for awhile, but the consensus was to forsake the numbers and if you have a Warwick your in. They invite you to put Warwick Club in your sig or whatever you like, if you wish.

^^ yeah, that. the problem was that we didn't have any real record of the numbers past a certain point. also, numbers are overrated.

I got in early enough for a number.......but you are right......numbers mean nothing....I will always love my Warwicks. I told my wife and kids to bury me with my one streamer due to a six year run with my former band and all the sentiment behind it. Got it new and put every nick and scratch on it myself!

lol that's a great story. i think i messaged dw about the time he was rolling through your numbers, but back then, i wanted a specific number, so i waited for a while til he got to that point, lol. then it was 'officially' assigned. however, i don't bother with clubs and numbers any more.

the best reason to be subscribed to the club threads are to see pics of your favorite basses, get input from like-minded bass players, and here in the wick thread, get some nice info from the Warwick gang via their WarwickOfficial screen name.

I agree. It's nice to have warwick official around these parts!

Just for the record, I'm the sole person using the WarwickOffical screen name, on this site and all English laguage-based forums. So, you can know that your always dealing with one person, for consistency and clarity. Thanks again!

it's good to have an official rep from Warwick in the 'official' Warwick club thread. it just goes to show that you may even care about all of us Warwick nerds a little bit.

thanks for being a part of our 'club!'

I just got a 2000 Thumb BO 4, eight years after selling off my Thumb BO 5, so I am overjoyed to be a Warwick owner again!

As requested!

Here's my new old friend, taking a break from Christmas Eve practice (one band goes into the studio on 12/27, another plays a bar gig on 12/28!)
Happy Holidays to all!

Members...I'm still looking for a dirty blonde four string. I have basses to trade or money. Please let me know if you have one you would move. Thanks and Happy Holidays

I was just looking through some of the old Warwick club pages, and got a kick out of it. Interesting to see how many people, such as myself, got a new Warwick sometime within the last year, but no longer own it. Apparently I'm not the only one who rotates basses regularly. On the bright side, many of them rotated to different warwicks, and a great many are still with us. Me, I'll never leave! I may change often (I've had 11 so far, including the current there I own), and simply can't see myself being without.

i've had my fair share of basses, too, and the one that has left me with the biggest impression was always the 02+ thumb. everyone raves about the wenge necks, but i like ovangkol just as well.

my next purchase will most likely be a streamer jazzman 5, but i'm also looking to get a thumb 4 nt.

I too have had my share of Warwicks.....maybe 30+. That might be a conservative number. I liked my 1997 thumb nt5 also. I miss most of my pre 99 Warwicks. I have kept a 2006 Streamer Stage 2 fiver, a custom shop double buck four and a 2006 streamer jazzman four that I played almost exclusively for six year. I have lots of love for that streamer jazzman!

I bought my 2002 Thumb BO 4 used two years ago. The early 2000s are my favorite model years for the Thumb because I prefer bigger necks. I played mine and a Wenge one, I preferred the feel of Ovangkol and the price. I tend to like models from unpopular eras of production, not just WW.
I just ordered a new Pro Series Star, can't wait, should be in my hands inside 2 weeks. I am super excited about it.

I'm loving my Streamer LX. I put a set of a TI flats on it, and it plays and sounds like a keeper.
