Hope it helps clear things.

Any ideas what a George Washburn Force ABT Signature Series are going for? I seen one the other day and the owner told me to make an offer. It played nice, but I'm pretty ignorant on what to offer him. It had a whacked out paint job, that appeared to be factory done. I will try to post a picture if I can. Thanks.

Hi Philonius,

It's a B20 or a B10 from the end of 80', look at this page (http://vintagewashburn.com/Bass/EarlyModels.html) and at this image (http://vintagewashburn.com/Images/Ba...urn_page09.jpg) to see it. I never used one so I can't give you any advise but it's supposed to be good bass and the B20 got EMG pick-ups and premium pre-amp. So, ask the guys about the hardware and electronics.

Philonius, i would strongly recommend asking the seller for picture of the headstock and trus rod cover... (trus rod cover has the model name on it) ask if the original preamp knobs, washburn bass bridge, pickups too are included.

Thanks guys, I'll look into it. Not that I need a project bass. Practice time; yes, more projects, no.

[edit] Not such a big fan of pointy headstocks either, come to think of it.

I have an 86' Washburn Force ABT B-30 Metallic Red MiJ... (pointy headstock) great bass though...

Also bought a used Bantam XB400 NM -
1995-96 Korean model, 4 strings jazz bass, Alder body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and 24 frets, Washburn w941 and w943 Soapbar Pickups, active electronics control trough 4 knobs: Volume, Treble boost/cut, Bass boost/cut, Blend/balance. Good standard washburn bridge. a very nice blond or butterscotch color with wood grain.

This is a well balanced instrument with a very fast neck (just right not thick and chunky), providing very good playability.

Very nice! From left to right while looking down while playing are, vol, pickup blend, then the stacked has treble on top mids on bottom and then bass on the far right. It took me awhile to figure out how to manipulate the sound using the on board controls (hell, I'm still trying to figure it all out lol). It's a great player for sure. Just curious, is yours as heavy as a bus like mine? I believe mine is weighing in at just under 12 lbs!

Edit: pressed send before I finished my post.
