There is one unexpected side benefit, if that's even possible. For California buyers, the state sales tax drops by 1% tomorrow (Friday, July 1), and Zon did not calculate or expect tax from me as of yet.... |

Did you have any custom options on it, or is it a straight forward Vinny? |

Now I wonder how long it will take Joe to repair my Sonus.
A damn long time I'm afraid... |

* black hardware (new bridge from Hipshot)
* gallery top
* 26 frets
BTW - here it is...

[AJ gets my drift. Editing out. ]
Onward.
(but you know, I waited for three years just to submit my order, to get hit ...)

I was merely stating my experience as I am wondering exactly why you are having yours... that, and I haven't posted these pics for awhile (esp. since the latest thread started). My humble apologies if it appeared as anything different.
I regard to the issue in question, I'll PM you.

My humble apologies if it appeared as anything different. | Seriously though, AJ, I remember you ordered your bass after I ordered mine since yours has the 26 positions you asked me about after I ordered mine. I'm still waiting for my bass while you've had yours for about a year now(?).
There are good reasons why Zon was unable to complete my bass, although whether the nearly tripling of time estimated can be accounted for by those reasons is an open question.

Zon builds a lot of stuff that isn't advertised on the website. After all, it is a custom shop.

A damn long time I'm afraid... | My Sonus upgrade - routing, new pickups and electronics - took 3 weeks to a month turnaround, IIRC.

A week and still no answer ATM.
I need a truss rod install and a preamp replacement.
I'll keep you guys tuned. |

He should get back to you eventually about the money transfer. I'll call to discuss the shipping details with him on Tuesday, and that should remind him to reply.
You can install a truss in a Legacy, though I think (but am not entirely sure) it requires a refinish of the entire bass. |

My vinny 6 has radiused/humbucking/series-parallel pickups, 26 fret positions, and non-standard electronics, including smaller knobs to fit it all on the smaller vinny body. All are custom options and none are posted on the Zon website.
