Thank you. |

When it states that you can use the pan as a sort of master tone control, it leads me to believe that it is indeed 1 tone control per pickup, but I was hoping one of you fellows who owns one of them could confirm that.
Thanks though. |

As I understand it, based on several threads here, there is one volume knob, one blend knob, and two parametric type controls (one for each pickup). Each of the parametric controls pull up to activate an "attack" function. |

The "attack" function is activated by pulling up on the volume knob. There is a tone control, actually a low pass filter, for each pickup. When you pull up on these it activates a 10db boost to the harmonics at the notch. Enjoy! |

The story of this bass according to the seller is that his friend came home to his apartment and smelled smoke coming from a room. When he went to check it out, there was a fire ablaze. So he got the bass out of the room and just left the building, losing most of what he had in there. The guy I got it from told me that despite the fire the Wal was in "excellent cosmetic and electronic condition." The pics he gave me were a bit blurry and I figured, hell, for $650 a bit of a burn mark ain't so bad! Well....they ain't so good either The neck has absolutely no finish on it, and the laminates are a bit separated at the headstock. The fingerboard has some sort of finish (superglue I think) on it and the side markers are gone and instead are filled with some weird gold-yellow paint. The metal dots that indicate the position for the knobs were melted in the fire, so there are little flat blobs where they used to be And finally, the back has some wood missing...about 3/4" around the belly cut.
Ok, after all this though, can you guess what? I am in love with this thing! The neck feels awesome. The bass plays super comfortably (and is somewhat light to boot...about 8.5lbs.). And the electronics DO WORK...sounds freaking HUGE!!! I guess $650 isn't so bad in the long run. I get a great 4-banger that has MOJO
and the pics: check below V
