Simply Amazing.........here are some pics of this beauty | That bass looks very nice!
Where did you put the battery for the preamp? Did it fit in the existing cavity or did you have to route under the pickguard.
I have never seen the routing of the MM3.

I have never seen the routing of the MM3. | It's a fairly large cut out there under the pickguard and a lot of wood under the control cavity. It was easy to make/route a 9 volt battery spot there. There is a large, unused area between the pickup and control cavity that can be used as well. I also installed some inserts to use threaded screws for the pickguard. No worries about wood screw ream out from repeated use.

It looks more like a standard Stingray pickguard, but those tend to leave a small gap where they meet the neck unless you move the pickup up a bit, about 4-5mm. It's not a big deal generally as the routing is usually oversized enough, but it's not simply removing one pickguard and putting the other one.
Have you removed it and look at the screw holes to see whether there are signs that it had a different pickguard previously?
Looks nice.

| | | | I just picked up a MM2 for $60. A small neck adjustment and this thing rocks. The action is great with no buzz. The neck is a little wider than I'm used to, but its still great. The tone us awesome also. I'm just surprised the value of these and the like/hate of these is all over the place. |

| | | My $60 OLP. I want to remove volumes and tone and replace with a kill switch. Maybe replace pickup, but I think the stock one sounds decent. |

| | | | I am about to be a proud owner of an olp 5 string, but have some questions for you guys.
First and foremost is it a sin to rebrand the headstock, I love the bass but I hate musicians who judge what u play vs how you play and I have met some not that it bugs me but I'd rather not hear it.
Second I've been looking for parts pickguards, pickups, and bridges etc. what Is good and where can it be found I play fenders and as we know that stuff is very easy to find.
Thanks for the help |

Thanks for the help | If you find a good place for parts let me know. As for the headstock, who gives a **** what people think. If you like the bass be proud of it, the sticker price isn't what makes a great bass. I've since upgraded to a Music Man Sterling I got a great deal on but still have my OLP MM22 (click the link to check mine out) and I love it. It sounds great the only reason I upgraded to the Sterling is that I'm smaller and it fits me much better. |

| | | This is my OLP Stingray MM22, having a slight issue with it though, the bass sometimes cuts out gradually or completely, has a brand new 9v in it and I suspect an issue with the connectors on the inside, otherwise this thing is beyond incredible. Would happily own more of them or may just save up for a Musicman. |

| | | | As a bassist on a budget, I'm sure I'll buy another OLP.
