Apparently First Act has a Custom Shop, and uses cheapo instruments like the one above to act as overhead, so they can do pretty much whatever they want with their custom stuff. | I have one of the Custom Shop pieces, and it's actually an AMAZING instrument. Sadly, it looks like they have a few instruments left to blow out and the custom shop is done.

On the guitar side of things, I like John Baizley's First Act a LOT:
I just don't understand why they played both extremes and never ventured into mid-range instruments. I bet they'd make way more money if instead of running a custom shop they took some of that expertise and sold $500-$1200 basses/guitars as well. |
