One "hot string"

I put some TI flats on my old P, and the "A" string sounds so much brighter. More of that piano/ round tone. I am thinking of eating buffalo wings, not washing my hands and playing just that string..

Anyone have a better suggestion?

Well now you've got me craving buffalo wings, and I don't know any place that I can get them at 1 AM

Yes, just play the strings for a while without the bbq sauce.

A string is way brighter than all the rest, eh?

Solution: Play only the A string.

I'm a one string bassist

crayon.

never tried it, but it's cheaper than ordering the colored strings from DR.

I think that's for a completely different forum...

Seriously though, you can do the old 'nose grease' thing (read it in a Jaco interview once) - just swipe your finger across the ol' sniffer & jam on the A for a while. Lather, rinse & repeat.

Jacob used this for a little speed for the fingertips during gigs, but this will most likely give you what your looking for.
