Peavey Millenium USA vs. Ibanez SR700

Hey guys, I was just looking to get an opinion on what bass you fin to be better. I'm gonna check out a used Peavey Millenium USA made bass today that is being sold at 260 dollars. A lot cheaper than I've seen for this bass online.

So I was wondering how the tone and feel of these basses compare. What's their strengths? I played the Ibanez SR700 and it had a great fast feel on the neck and was great for slapping and popping, as well as finger plucking.

Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks.

The Peavey US Millennium is miles above the Ibanez in build and tone quality. Only thing might be if you don't care for the 35" scale on the Millennium. You can find great deals like this on the Peavey's because the US models are still relatively unknown as far as quality goes. The name plays against them, but they're awesome basses. Build quality on par easily with US Fenders and above. I had one for a long time but sold it and wish I hadn't. It was a tone monster.

I've played a few Ibanez basses (although not the exact model you're asking about), and they were good, but if you can snag a US Mill for that price, DO IT! RUN, don't walk, and snatch that thing up. Worst case scenario, you don't like it and you can flip it. US Mills are amazing instruments in every way possible... fit and finish is great, they feel and play wonderfully, and they sound amazing. I've read elsewhere that they were meant to be competition for US Laklands, if that gives you an idea of what you're in for. DO IT.

Thanks guys. I was searching around and I thought that was a fantastic price for it compared to what I saw it being sold for. Looks like I'll be getting another bass today.

An SR700 is a nice bass. A US-Millennium is an extraordinary bass. $250 for a US-Mill? Grab it!

Count on the millenium to need the peavey club to help you set it up

Out of the box they're just ok - they become botique quality when setup right
