Dieing to give her a workout ...but got to wait for "reasonable" hours to do that - the play thru on the good headphones is Fab and FAT....but I'm sure ya'all ready know this.
There are times when everything in the stars align and this bass got built with me in mind ...or my evil twin is out there .....

I would be honored to have a number too.

Congrats!! She looks beautiful. I still think these are about the best bass a guy can get. IMO.

Thanks!
I like most of the colors availible, so could be flexible when choosing - but this was a top3 choice for me. I played as many imports as i could find and can feel a noted difference. But it sounds so much better live than on utube . I thank you guys that posted soundclips/ songs they had the most impact on providing a definitive Milli sound - good music too BTW.
Q: Has anyone "mapped the EQ" to tell us ; set pickups here, low here,mid-sweep here, hi sweep here= sounds like a Rick ?? I didn't know if there were suggestions in the manual /promo books as I don't have them .
Thanks for the help and the welcome!
Peter

just dn loaded the B+W milli + manual ..links for a color version too old...can anyone help with a working link/email copy? thanks

Bling da thing!!

Been enjoying my millennium and got some goodys to enhance the look! I found a nice (USA Made) 3" padded strap in crushed blue velvet that matches the darker blu hues, swapped a set of DR Cool Blue strings and picked up a set of new knobs with abalone inlays. They were suppose to be black .... but Q-C musta took a holiday :-/.....so they are drying after a few squirts in the garage.
Practice tomorrow for upcoming gig- so I get to spring the secret!! lol!

Oh what Fun!! Great gig sat..Came through nice and clear - kept swapping out tones for different songs/ styles, each time to hear "that thing sounds great!" and SHURE maybe I was a tad more louder than usual... not intentionaly but the guys also noticed I've been working on scales and tecnique too ...so all is good! Being a bassist I know "my place" LOL!
The DR "Cool Blue" strings are nice and bright- retaining their round wound sound (tho I'm usualy a flatwound guy).I'd recomend them for a different look or if your blue bass needs pizzazz...FYI I ordered a set of cirrus strings from a local Peavey dealer ..(still not in yet) four days after that ordered the DR'S From G.C. with slow/free mail option and got them already......happy to say the DR's are made in USA for my US beauty!

Finaly got the cirrus strings---sounded like the owner Lost my order / tell # , but got the strings knowing someone asked for them.... :-/ lol

Peavey Millennium 4

Hi Guys,

I’ll be listing my son’s Peavey Millennium 4 bass guitar in the talkbass classifieds as soon as I can get all the details about it. Hoping people here might be able to help. I believe it is a USA model. It's a 4 string bolt-on with flametop, birdseye maple fretboard, active pickups and a Hipshot drop-D. It's gorgeous! I have sent the serial number to Peavey just to confirm manufacture date, model, etc. Still waiting to hear back. Can anyone offer up other information on this model? Think we paid around $900 for it back in the day. What would be a reasonable asking price? Thanks!

That is a US-made Millennium 4 Plus with optional Birdseye maple board (and it should have a birdseye neck, as well, though the headstock kind of looks like maybe it doesn't) and matching headstock. The flame maple top and the Drop D-tuner are features of the Plus model.

Forum rules require you to be a Supporting Member to ask questions about value/price. But, it's not hard to find similar ones in the Classifieds (in these forums) to see what they've been listing and selling for.

Thanks Stu. Sorry, I was not aware of the rules against price inquiries. As you suggested, a quick search indicates a value around $600. Need to do a little more work before listing it for sale. Here's a picture of the headstock since you mentioned it. Thanks again for the help.

Looks like there is some birdseye showing in the headstock. Is the back of the neck birdseye? It should be.

Nice! Looks just the same except 4 string with a drop-D. Think I may have been a bit optimistic on price. Sure seems like a heckuva lot of guitar for the money.

The finish on mine is called Tigereye. Yours looks more like a Tigereye Burst or Tobacco Burst. Not sure what the official name would be.

That's whats great about these basses, if your the buyer.
If your the seller, you are giving away a lot of bass. I like being on the buying end of these.

It looks like I'll be rejoining your ranks some time in February! I'm selling some cheap basses off to get this:

There's a guy who's on tour right now and he'll be back in mid February in time for me to buy it off him.

I want to order some strings for it ahead of time. What is the string length from ball to nut on these? I'm assuming it would be the same for the 4-string MM/J's.

Thanks!
