Couldn't he make it a bit more fancy? ;)

He can make everything you want, just use your fancy imagination.

Very nice, the wood selection is beautiful. Why such a large control plate though? I seems to block the beauty of the wood, which appears to be the look you were going for.

Just kidding, that there is breath taking...

Beautiful bass!

I am so getting one....

Any thoughts on the playing experience/balance/tone, etc?

There's so much going on there that I'd find it hard to stop looking at the bass long enough to play it!! Beautiful work in every way.

Pete Hilton is the Carl Thompson's bass builder nowadays. He makes the Carl Thompson bass and he was blessed by Carl. Everybody say that he will be the Carl's successor and he will take care of Carl's Legacy and basses in the future.

The bass is 100% well balanced, very light weight, perfect straight neck, fast neck and has a very powerful and warm sound. It's passive with a K armstrong Soapbar on neck and MM Pu on bridge.

This is beautiful. Have you recorded with it? I'd love to hear a Pete Hilton Bass.

Does Pete still take orders?

Forgive me if I am being rude by asking this but is this bass a new order from Pete? I did not think he took orders anymore and you could only get one used which is next to impossible (no one gets rid of them)!

I just bought a fretless Mike Browne Gnome bass here on TB and am dying to get a Hilton 4 string to compliment it.

Just a fantastic looking, and I am sure playing, instrument. Congratulations to you. Peace

By the way, I'd made an offer for the Browne Ivory bass before you ! It was before the Talk Bass Sale Thread ! LOL !
