If so... It might have a market! True most people in their right mind don't like the bat thing but, it has good pups and plays nicely so I've been told. It is a great candidate for a relicing project! I'd love to see a fender version! Better pots, wiring, and pups. It wouldn't be all that bad!

Could it be that the Squier version sold so well that Fender decided to actually put their name on it to make some more $$$? Possibly, I mean, they made the Mark Hoppus bass, no? But to tell you the truth, Ive never seen an actual Wentz Squier in anyones hands...

I think I saw him using a customized "Big Block" in a video once. I can't imagine they would do a rehash of the Squier bass. See the thread below for a picture of the "Big Block".

Pete Wentz plays what bass?

FWIW, I was in GC the other day to kill some time, and there were some 16-ish year old kids in the bass room playing very sloppily on a Marcus Miller Jazz.

Kid 1 (playing): "This is what that guy from Rush plays."
Kid 2 (watching): "Who?"
Kid 1: "You know, Rush."
Kid 2: "Um... [shrugs] Where's the one Pete Wentz plays?"

Obviously a market...

I'd call it a draw, and a pretty bad one at that.

I'm betting no one has any concrete information on whether this will happen or not. And if it does, so what? It's silly to get up in arms about who has a signature bass--that decision is purely marketing-driven, and has nothing to do with the quality of someone's playing or their music (IMO).

So these dipwads know more about music than me it would seem.
