If you could provide some example pics (body color, pickguard, fretboard, etc.) that will increase your chances of a response tremendously.

How does this grab you?

It's not perfect, but hopefully it meets your needs.

I felt a great disturbance in Las Vegas…as if thousands of Elvis impersonators cried out and then suddenly left the building.

Let me know if you want another. Obviously, my rates are rather affordable.

how about an alpine white jazz with matching headstock...pearloid plate, pearloid blocks on maple neck, white pup covers, and pearloid topped chrome knobs?

been wanting to do this forever!

more than likely my next project

Ack! That might take a bit longer. The first was just some layering and tactical erasure. This will be a bit more complicated, especially the knobs. They don't lay "flat" like the bodies and neck.

But I'm a sucker, so I'll see what I can do. Sheesh! The things I do you guys.

For what it's worth, it sounds like a great combination to me.

For what it's worth...

Well, I'm not too thrilled with the results, because of the difficulties with making the headstock match the body while still looking like something that exists in three dimensions. Also, I couldn't find a bass body with alpine white, so I used one with an olympic white. Chalk this one up to "you get what you pay for".

If nothing else, I hope it helps you envision what you're planning on building.

Very good!

I like how you tried to make the control plate as part of the pickguard, which ain't always an easy task.

(I personally wish Jazzes had complete pickguards ala the Precision ).
