Tort is almost always going to be my first choice, but EagleMoon's abalone looks FANTASTIC too. And despite being a tort guy I think I'd probably pick abalone over tort on the Blizzard Pearl after seeing a picture of her bass (EagleMoon, did you ever post a picture of that bass before, I think I remember drooling over it sometime in the past).
After those two I'd go with black pearl, then white pearl, then black.

The color of what comes on the American Standard basses is PARCHMENT, not white. There is a SMALL, but noticeable difference.

Looks great under certain light, and while I was initially disappointed that the sparkle/flake is gold (I was hoping it was closer to silver), my wife pointed out that it goes well with the maple fretboard. Now that she's pointed that out, I really dig the way it looks.  |

| I like the way the black looks too...but you might even want to try the black glass sparkle on this one.
I also like that new mystic blue that Fender is coming out with for 2013...I'm gassing for one bad. |

However, you did redeem yourself with the black glass sparkle. I DO like that!

|  | Registered User | | | | Blizzard pearl is kind of tough. I just got a P bass special in this color, which came stock with a gold vinyl pickguard that I didn't like at first but I'm starting to warm up to. I've also experimented with black and tort. I could use some opinions on these:
