I have a black pearl -- gives contrast yet a little flair. But I kinda dig that white pearl pg.

Lots of great options with that color. Tort is almost always going to be my first choice, but EagleMoon's abalone looks FANTASTIC too. And despite being a tort guy I think I'd probably pick abalone over tort on the Blizzard Pearl after seeing a picture of her bass (EagleMoon, did you ever post a picture of that bass before, I think I remember drooling over it sometime in the past).

After those two I'd go with black pearl, then white pearl, then black.

I have a Blizzard Pearl Jazz Bass myself, and think that the PG on it is the best that there is for me personally. The color of what comes on the American Standard basses is PARCHMENT, not white. There is a SMALL, but noticeable difference.

I'm pretty sure I did. Probably in the 2008 Fender Jazz club.

Fender Black Glass Sparkle...

For my blizzard pearl, this new Fender black glass sparkle is my second favorite, with my favorite being white pearl.

Looks great under certain light, and while I was initially disappointed that the sparkle/flake is gold (I was hoping it was closer to silver), my wife pointed out that it goes well with the maple fretboard. Now that she's pointed that out, I really dig the way it looks.

On Blizzard Pearl/maple, I like the white pearloid the best, although the stock white/or parchment also looks good. On the BP/rosewood, I like the 3-ply black guard:

I like the way the black looks too...but you might even want to try the black glass sparkle on this one.

I also like that new mystic blue that Fender is coming out with for 2013...I'm gassing for one bad.

Roger, Roger, I'm afraid I'm gonna' have to get you into therapy, my man! I think that Mystic Blue is one of the nastiest, cheapest-looking MIA Fenders that I've ever seen!

However, you did redeem yourself with the black glass sparkle. I DO like that!

Blizzard pearl is kind of tough. I just got a P bass special in this color, which came stock with a gold vinyl pickguard that I didn't like at first but I'm starting to warm up to. I've also experimented with black and tort. I could use some opinions on these:

Tort:

Black:

Gold:

I generally like tort... but I'd say "Black-slab-a-baloney" for the win.

That white pearloid guard looks very classy on Blizzard Pearl.
