So, might as well add one more.
My Jazz bass needs a new pickguard…It’s not broken, nor does it need a new one, but when I ordered this one, it was listed as a “Red Tortoise Shell”….well, to me it looks more like lava, that’s not a bad thing, but I just don’t like it, and I’ve looked at it long enough.
I’m having a tough time deciding on a new color, so I put a poll in this post with a some choices for you to choose from, if you can, post a pic!
If you selected “other” please post a description (or a pic) of the pickguard you’d suggest.
Thanks!!
Here are a couple pics of the bass in question, I apologize for the flash, but it seemed the best way to show the true color of the pickguard and the bass, which is white, but not bright white, more “antique” or “egg shell”.

I've finally mastered the bass, does anyone know what those other 3 strings are for?

Head to Warmoth's J Bass Pickguard Selector and check out Brown Shell, 3rd Column, 5th down.
That's got my vote.

| | | | Parchment, I like an all white bass but the straight white is to white for Olympic white.....or go flat black and go for a storm trooper look

Tort pickguard means a whole lot of completely different designs, so it ought to have the most votes, some like swirled, some like straightish design, some like red, some like brown, etc, so I voted white pearloid, I think that design looks really calming for some reason
The reason I didn't vote for tort is that I see pickguard on my bass close up, and I hate the look of tort close up, looks great on stage though. |
