Pics of post '08 Am.Std 3TS P's with Gold Anodized...

..pickguards? Specifically, Fender American Standard Precisions with Maple boards. Curious to see what the modern burst looks like with gold ano and maple. I've seen lots of the obvious (57 two tones, vintage "yellow" bursts) but not too many of the newer ones with this combo. Thanks in advance for any pics.

The only potential "problem" I see with that idea is that the maple boards on the Am. Stds. are pretty light in color. I think the gold anodized looks better when the maple has the vintage tint. Maybe somebody has one that would prove me wrong though. I do love the gold anodized on my Honey Blonde Classic 50s P...

Exactly what I'm going for. The newer Am.Std.'s have slightly darker maple than they used to. Basically, it's the CS model above that gave me the idea. When the original 57'-59' models were released, they allegedly looked alot more like this than what we see on the AVRI line.

V cool indeed! Thought about doing this myself to my sunburst MIA 09 but then i'd have to take the PG off everyone time i wanted to change the trussrod. Might still do if i use the same brand/gauge of strings for a while (experimenting between rounds and flats ATM)
