I have no Pictures of me and my first bass. but I do have Pictures of both my sons and thier first basses. My oldest and his 5 string Spector. and my youngest and his Peavey. My first bass was a Aria SG, wish I still had it. Also wish I had a bass as nice as my sons when I started playing.

I played double bass before this, but this was
my first electric bass. Westone Electra X640N,

And I still got her. She's my wife and the best
sounding PJ bass I ever played,

I have only ever seen one picture of me playing my 1st bass, and that was at a high school event in '89/'90. The pic was in a yearbook, which I can't find now.
Just never though of pictures back then...

I'd only had this a few weeks when this pic was taken. Fender Geddy Lee J-bass. I was still playing just the root notes at the time. Fortunately I've improved since then!

I am sure that many others have guessed, but...
that is the large Rush poster that I also still have from the 70's. That is one of the only things from my original "rock and roll" room that has survived the many moves...used to look at that poster and dream....still do

My first bass was a cheap washburn bantam series that I received for my 12th birthday.

This was our first show in our drummer's parent's garage a year later.

That's me "singing" the little kid part of the prayer in Enter Sandman. I'm quite fond of the "O-face" the drummer is making.

And that's me playing the solo at the beginning of For Whom The Bell Tolls...My strap was super low so I had to bend over to reach the upper frets

My second bass, Stingray (brand, obviously not a MM) in 1991

The Fender Prodigy in 1995, almost clean and with original electronics/pickups.

(Looks like this now)
Edit: I see this has the preamp bypass switch installed (on/off to save batteries, no passive/active switch)

My first bass was an Egmond semi acoustic, no pictures (though I still have some parts that survived)
