Love this thread. So many great pics here.
Here's my band 'The R.u.B.' performing last night. I'm playing my '84 Peavey Fury (with new SIT Powerwound strings...LOVE these strings!)

I did too, but then I worked with a great drummer whose favorite (and loudest) crash cymbal was just above his hi-hat. Painful, and my tinnitus isn't getting any better with age... and yes, I use plugs. Thought it was easier to watch him when he was on my 'neck' side also.

I sing a lot with my current band and at church, so I almost always find myself way out front of the drummer. On the songs where I do not sing, I do try to wander back to his hi-hat side. But I've learned to live and die to the cadence of the kick drum.

Music school recital (Satin doll - Ellington). I love the first pic, with the light falling on me. Wifey took it.

The second pic is nice, too. You look contemplative.

Do you find it heavy? I just had a white 1979 model and
had to sell it cause my back was about to give up.

Too bad though, this bass sounds incredible .

Happy Holidays.

Hi hat side for me too. I tell the drummer he needs to see my hands just and much as I need to see him. Especially since I spend alot of time at the mic.
