So far, there has been just one convincing response.
Misterwogan, I've played blues, in a band, for money, several times, on a...wait for it...G&L L2000. I've also done it on a P. But I've mainly done it on an L2000. And yes I've gotten payed, and rehired later, and yes it did sound good.

And just so you know, I am not an exception. There is more than one way to skin a cat and that is more than one tool that you can use to play the blues.

Now, back to our regular programming!

I would assume that users would read the post and respond to the post itself and not just the title. However, you appear to be correct, so I changed the title.

I'm not a "p bass" guy, but I can appreciate a cool bass (p or not) was my point.

BTW- I AM a P-Bass guy!
I have played one other P bass that I LOVED. It was a Foto Flame MIJ model. Neither it nor this one had a squirrely top end that every other P bass I've played has had.

This was a nice surprise.

1. Because my buddy had a bass for me to jam on unexpectedly.
2. It was a vintage Fender.
3. It had a dang good sound to it and played well!
