Funny thing...I scored an Ampeg SVT Micro VR and SVT210AV cab for $280!!!

Oh, and Stone Soup, don't worry. The seller knew what he had, so no need to start tearing into me again about morals and what not. You can sleep well on this one, buddy.

what an amazing score, I thought my worn 76 for $700.00 was a good deal, that thing looks minty.

It does look very well maintained indeed. I love the black pickguard on it

Sold the Crate amp for $60, bringing the grand total paid for the bass to $190.

Yeah, decided to sell it. I want a nice amp as well, but don't have/want to shell out the cash for one, if I sold the bass I could have a respectable rig with a classic 50's Precision and a PF500 and Portaflex cab.

I'm over it. Not a thing anymore. All is good at the Soup kitchen. As if it matters...

To the OP, great score, play the hell out of it, brother. By the way, OP, the ignore feature is a wonderful thing.

Yeah, it's in ridiculous condition given it's age, but like I mentioned above I'm selling it to pick up a MIM Classic 50's Precision and a PF500 and either a PF210 or PF115 cabinet, so I'm not selling it to bank the money, rather putting it toward a full rig!

And FWIW, I decided to NOT sell the bass! I'll keep it and want to sort of resotre it to it's former glory. Ditching the Badass II bridge and will probably replace the pup with a Fralin. I also ordered a vintage style Fender bridge, thumb rest and pickup covers.

In another thread someone mentioned that I only intended to do these things to the bass to make it's resale value higher, but all the parts I ordered are new fender parts, not original parts from 1975-76. If i wanted to make money off it I'd just sell it as is since picked it up for next to nothing, and adding the parts I just listed would be a lateral move, and wouldn't get me any more for the bass. So instead I'll just keep her, and instead of selling it and buying a Classic 50's P and a Portaflex, I'll just keep this bass, spruce it up to hopefully look and sound closer to original, and just pick up a second SVT210av cab to add to my Micro VR stack.

That's what makes this deal so great. At the price you got it for, you don't have to be scared of making holes for a thumb rest or anything like that. I'd put a finger rest on the bottom too

It already has the holes, as it did the day it was new. All the holes are there for the thumb rest and pup and bridge covers, just don't have the originals to put on.
