Please help me save around 3K

PLEASE!
This is perhaps the most beautiful FCS P-Bass I've seen recently; and I've seen a few!

SOMEONE please buy it before I am forced to swipe my C/C.

I already have too many great basses, but IMO this one is a winner.

Enjoy!

FCS?

have I played "it"?
Well, no not "it" but I have played FCS P-Basses, and IMO they are great builds.

What are your reservations, might I ask?

Sure, it's pretty and sure, it probably plays well. But is it worth $3k? If you can't honestly say it's well worth $3k, then you shouldn't buy it.

Now you're talkin'! Buy basses on looks first. That's what I always do.

Yes, I have seen, played, (& really like) Wilkins.
Of course there is also Sadowsky, Laklands, Nordy etc etc.

But- IMO_ A Fender Custom Shop is that-
A FENDER custom shop, with a cachet that is exclusive to FCS basses.

Many opinions are that they are overpriced, etc. which can be said for many other brands of course.
The build of this particular FCS P-Bass attracts me,I have no reservations about it quality-wise or price-wise, of course a $200 Squire is "just as good" etc. Kidding. I won't go there.

As to issues with it's build or playability- NOT.
YMMV of course.

Quoting myself:

Now-
What didn't you understand as to my explaining that I liked FCS P-Basses?

What you "always do" doesn't matter to me FYI.
How's that?

I think what he's getting at is that not all FCS P-basses are created equal.

what who is getting into?

"Sir Paul" above?

I think the overall consistency of P-Bass builds from the FCS makes it one instrument I would not hesitate to buy unplayed-
Similar to Sadowsky, Nordstrand, Lakland, and others.

Yes Joe, that's about right, until I hear an "opinion" that I would value.

Remind me, what were some of the reasons again?

Unless you're considering buying it, that's really about all you need to say!

Munjibunga.

If you're that into the bass, just buy it. It beats getting your jimmies rustled over people suggesting you shouldn't buy it after you made a thread to dissuade you from doing so.
