Not sure but gonna guess Korean. Chinese made I think means an older performer, at that's got a figured top that's too fancy to be a Performer.

Made in China. Basses made in Korea usually say so on the back of the headstock. The SSD marked pickups were on Chinese import Spectors. The controls are V/V/T/T, right? Passive bass?

So it's a Performer?

That's what I was thinking but the figured top threw me off. If it's passive V/V/T/T then it's an upgraded Performer.

So, you bought it on Ebay and the seller thought it was made in Korea?

I'm pretty sure you're dealing with one of these basses.

Whether it's made in China, Korea, or Indonesia doesn't matter as much as how you like it when it arrives. If it plays well and sounds good then great! Both of my basses are Chinese made and play really well.

Looks like a Chinese Performer. Unfortunately, Spector serial numbers do not tell you much about the basses. Spector customer support is very helpful You might be able to get some information from them.

I've played a Spector Performer before and they're decent basses. I just don't like how Spector's feel (neck profile, body size, etc) so they're not for me. I hope you like it!

I'm pretty sure the performers have a flat top, with no roundedness on the horns. I'm going to guess this is korean, I've owned 2 korean Spectors and this looks pretty much just like them

The thing that gives it away as a Performer is that the pickups just say "SSD" on them.

Maybe it's a Performer DLX. Those had some figured colors (and I think a curved top). Just looks so fancy to be a Performer...
Verify?

There are also performers that say "EMG-SSD".
