Possible trade -opinions ?

I have an Italia Rimini bass, that i love every aspect of except one. It has really tall protruding frets. I have had the fret edges worked on,but i just find it uncomfortable to play for long. I am thinking of swapping it straight (no cash difference) for a mexican Fender Jazz fretless that has been upgraded with Fender Custom shop pickups, and a badass 2 bridge. Both basses have hardshell cases. I am really not familiar with the mexican fenders, other than hearing that the pickups and electronics should be replaced,so we're good there at least. What do ya'll think? I believe both basses are in about the same price range.
I should also say that i live in a really remote area,so getting any involved work done on guitars is next to impossible.
